I believe that it’s important to bring awareness to your life, find your passions, chase dreams, and never stop growing. And, that’s why I love yoga.

I first practiced yoga as a child with my grandmother; she taught me at a young age to meditate and ground myself. Growing up in a small town, there were no yoga studios accessible to me, so I practiced on my own using a set of VCR tapes and a book, which I surprisingly still own. Eventually, my life led me to move to a larger city with access to mentors. About eight years ago, I really started diving deeper into my practice, and I decided that I wanted to teach.

I think that anyone should be able to practice yoga regardless of their location, resources, age, or any limitation. And, I hope to make yoga available to more people.

Yoga Teacher Training at Practice Yoga Austin

Graduated in 2016

Completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certifed training at one of the top-rated studios in Austin, TX. Learned Iyengar alignment based principals, anatomy, philosophy, meditation techniques, sequencing, hands-on assists, modifications and prop work. Did 8 hours of in class assisting and observations in order to complete certification. Trained under Christina Sell, Kiely Rutledge, Rey Cardenas, Shanti Kelley, G’Nell Price, and other skilled teachers.

-Leading weekly 60 minute yoga classes

-Offering refinements and hands-on adjustments throughout class

-Preparing class space including bringing props, music, and class readings

-Subbing for other instructors as needed
